I'd like to distribute your software on a CD. Would that be OK?
Certainly.

The word lists in the Hangman game in Sebran do not suit my kid. Can I create my own Hangman list?
Yes. Have a look at the Sebran page for more information.

When I install Sebran or Minisebran, the fonts do not seem to install properly?
You can download the fonts (.ttf format) for manual installation here.

After installing and running Sebran's ABC, I can only see empty buttons with no text or pictures on them!
Restarting your computer should fix this problem.

I'm trying to run Sebran in Greek, but all I get is a lot of question marks
In order for Sebran to work well in e.g. Greek, Turkish, Croatian and Polish, you need to select the correct codepage in the Regional and Language Options section of the Windows Control Panel.

Can I run your software on a Macintosh?
No.

I'd like to translate Sebran into another language.
I have no plans at the moment to add more languages to Sebran.

I'd like to translate Selingua into another language.
I have no plans at the moment to add more languages to Selingua.

Can I import existing word lists into Selingua?
Yes, in version 5.2, released in april 2006, you can copy and paste words from e.g. Excel into the Selingua Dictionary Editor.

How can I use my own word lists in Selingua Columns?
It is possible. In order to do this, you must download Selingua and create a new word list in the Dictionary Editor. Rename the new list selingua.dct and replace the current selingua.dct in the Selingua Columns installation directory (probably C:\program files\SelinguaColumns) with the new file.

Can I download the source code of your software?
Yes, the source code for Sebran is available for download.

Are you sure you don't want me to pay for your software?
No, but if you have your own website or blog, I really appreciate it if you link to one of my websites!

What is this "AB" in "Marianne Wartoft AB" anyway?
"Marianne Wartoft" is my name, "Marianne Wartoft AB" is the name of my company. "AB" is short for "Aktiebolag", which is the Swedish equivalent of "Inc.", "Ltd." or the German "GmbH".

Can you suggest some other great software for kids?
One of my favorites is Starfall.com, a free site where kids can learn to read and write.

And why did you name your software for kids "Sebran"?
For my other software, I had added the prefix "se". E.g. Se-terra for software about learning about the earth (terra), and Se-lingua for languages (lingua). When I was working on Sebran's ABC, I played around with different ideas on what to call it. One was Se-barn, since "barn" is the Swedish word for children. It did not sound very good, however, but then I switched two of the letters around and came up with "se-bran", which is the Swedish word for Zebra. A black-and-white zebra seemed to fit the graphical look i wanted my software to have perfectly, so I settled for that!
